How to play Neon Snake
Control the glowing snake and collect orange snacks to earn a point and grow your tail. Your snake moves automatically, so the key to a long run is choosing your turns carefully. Hit a wall or your own body and your run ends.
How the controls work
On a computer, steer with the arrow keys or WASD. On a phone, swipe directly on the game or use the four direction buttons below the board. You cannot instantly reverse into your own body — plan a turn ahead instead.
Three tips for longer runs
- Keep your options open. Avoid filling the middle of the board with tight spirals.
- Follow the perimeter. Near the end of a long run, sweeping around the outside can help preserve space.
- Watch your speed. The snake gradually accelerates as you collect more snacks.
Your best score is saved locally, so you can come back later and beat it.
